Delivery

I have a scheduled delivery coming up, will it be delivered as planned?

Yes, your planned delivery date remains unchanged. Expect to receive a first reminder email and/or text message 72 hours prior to delivery and a delivery time window confirmation between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm the day before your delivery.

I haven’t booked my delivery date yet, how to proceed?

You can always book your delivery date online. If your order is already in stock, you can book your delivery date by clicking here. If your order is not yet in stock, we will notify you when it becomes available. Our email and/or text message notification will include a link to book your delivery date online.

My order was only partially delivered, how do I get the remaining items delivered?

No action is required on your part. We will notify you when your remaining items become available. Our email and/or text message notification will include a link to book your delivery date online.

I was supposed to pick up my order in store, is it still possible?

Yes, in-store pickup is still possible. Please refer to the procedure and conditions agreed upon at the time of your purchase.

Can my old invoice numbers be used as guest login credential to view my online client account and order status online?

Yes, your full customer record and order history are now in the Tanguay system. You can use any of your old invoice numbers in conjunction with your current account number to verify order status, view purchase history, make service calls, and manage your upcoming order deliveries.

I have placed a special order 3 months ago, does the estimated order arrival time remain the same?

Yes, all estimated order arrival times remain unchanged. We will promptly notify you when your special order becomes available and ready for delivery.

Service

I have a service case pending at one of your former brands, is my service case still open and in progress?

Yes, your service case remains open, in progress, and keeps the same reference number. We will keep you updated with relevant information as it becomes available.

Will you honor any product warranty and/or service plan purchased from one of your former brands?

Yes, Tanguay will honor all product warranties and service plans in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed upon at the time of purchase.

I purchased an extended warranty from one of your former brands, do I need to do anything to keep my warranty valid?

No, Tanguay will systematically honor all extended warranties and service plans in accordance with the terms and conditions agreed upon at the time of purchase. No action is required on your part.

How do I get help and support for a defective product purchased from one of your former brands?

You can make a service request and open a support case directly online by signing in to your client account and navigating to the Online Service Request section.

I ordered a replacement part from one of your former brands, will my order be processed as expected?

Yes, your part order is still being processed and we will promptly inform you when your replacement part becomes available. No action is required on your part

Payment and Financing

Where do I pay my remaining invoice balance before delivery?

You can pay any invoice balance due directly online by signing in to your client account and navigating to the Online Balance Payment section. Alternatively, you can make your payment at any physical Tanguay store near you or pay by bank transfer.

How does paying my invoice balance by bank transfer work?

If you choose to pay a remaining invoice balance by bank transfer, the Tanguay account will receive and process your payment, regardless of which of our former or current brands the invoice is from.

Is my account balance or credit automatically transferred to my Tanguay client account?
Yes, all our former brands’ systems have always been seamlessly integrated with Tanguay’s system. Your full customer record and order history, including any account balance or credit, are securely stored in the Tanguay system.
Can my Fairstone credit limit be used to shop at Tanguay?

Yes, your Fairstone credit limit can be used to shop at Tanguay, regardless of which of our former or current brands it was originally issued for.

Can I keep making my Fairstone payments the same way as before?

Yes, everything stays the same with regard to making your Fairstone payments, regardless of which of our former or current brands your credit was issued for. All Fairstone loan payments are made directly to Fairstone.

I paid an upfront deposit to secure backordered items, do you still have my deposit and order on file?

Yes, Tanguay has both your deposit and order details on file. We will promptly inform you when your order becomes available for delivery or pickup.

I have gift certificates and/or gift cards purchased from one of your former brands, can they be used to shop at Tanguay?

Yes, any gift certificate or gift card purchased from any of our former brands can be used to shop here at Tanguay.

My Fairstone financing account at Tanguay

I’m a Brault & Martineau or EconoMax customer. What happens with my financing account?

Nothing. Your Brault & Martineau or EconoMax account is now rebranded as Tanguay and your account number remains the same. No action is required on your part.

Can I use my Tanguay financing account to finance purchases at Tanguay L’Entrepôt?

Yes. Your financing account from Tanguay can be used at Tanguay L’Entrepôt for both in-store and online shopping.

How do I access my Fairstone account details such as balance and payment due date?

Register or log in to get updates regarding your Fairstone financing account such as monthly electronic statements, account balance, payment due date, minimum payment, and recent transaction history.

What is my Fairstone account number? Where can I find it?

Your account number can be found in the SMS text message you received from Fairstone when you were approved for financing, on your monthly statement, or by logging into online account management.

Will I get a monthly statement?

Yes, monthly statements will be provided for active accounts.

When a monthly electronic statement is available, an email notification will be sent to the email address on file. To access your electronic statement, register or log in to online account management.

How can I get assistance with understanding my monthly statement?

I’m currently receiving my monthly statement in the mail. Can I request monthly electronic statements instead of printed statements?

Yes. To receive monthly electronic statements, you need to register for an online account. Once you’ve created an online account, you’ll be automatically switched to receive monthly electronic statements.

I’m currently receiving my monthly statement in the mail. Can I request monthly electronic statements instead of printed statements?

Yes. To change your monthly statement preference, call Fairstone at 844-807-1301.

Will I receive a plastic card in the mail from Fairstone?

No. Fairstone offers entirely digital financing for Tanguay meaning your key account information, such as account number, can be accessed by logging into online account management.

Will I pay an annual fee?

An annual fee* of $35 is applicable if you enroll in an equal payment financing plan with no interest for a term longer than 12 months. This fee is charged on your first statement and annually on your account opening anniversary date if the balance is a minimum of $1.

*Fairstone may change the fee or add other fees upon written notice and as permitted by law.

How do I make payments?

You can make payments in any of the following ways:

  1. Telephone or online banking (enter ‘Fairstone - Retail Financing’ as the payee)
  2.  At your financial institution
  3. At a local Fairstone branch
  4. By mailing a cheque payable to Fairstone including the account number and the payment amount on the return portion of your mailed monthly statement addressed to:

Please note, Tanguay/ stores will not accept payments on Fairstone’s behalf.

When are my payments due?

Register or log in to online account management to see your payment due date. Plan expiration dates are listed in your monthly statement.

If you are not registered for online account management, your payment due date and plan expiration date are listed in your mailed monthly statement.

Are there any penalties for paying off my account balance?

No, there are no penalties for paying off your account balance, if the minimum payment is made when due and/or  the account balance is paid in full by the expiration date of the promotional period. If you do not pay off your account balance within the terms of your promotional plan, you may be subject to accrued interest charges.

Will my account be closed after I’ve paid off my balance?

No. Your account will not be closed if you pay off your balance meaning you can use your available credit to finance additional purchases at Tanguay.

How do I close my account?

To close your account, contact Fairstone at 844-807-1301.

How to finance a purchase?

How do I finance a purchase at Tanguay?
  1. Apply for financing by completing the online financing application
  2. Once you’ve been approved for Fairstone financing at Tanguay, you can finance your purchase either in-store or online by following these easy steps:
    1. To finance a purchase in-store:

      1. Log in to Fairstone online account management
      2. Select “Display Barcode”
      3. To finance your purchase, show the barcode to a Tanguay advisor

    2. To finance an online purchase:

      1. Shop online at Tanguay, to find the items you wish to finance
      2. Add your items to the shopping cart
      3. At checkout, select ‘Fairstone Financing’ as payment option
      4. When prompted, enter your Fairstone financing account information

Financing plans

What financing plans are offered at Tanguay?

In partnership with Fairstone, Tanguay offers several financing plan options. Visit the Tanguay website or store to inquire about which of the following financing plans are available:
 

  • Free Financing with 18 or 24-month terms, plus others.
  • Same as cash (with payments) with 6 or 12 months, plus others (in Quebec).

To confirm which financing plan you are enrolled in, see your monthly statement.

How does the Free Financing plan work?
  • The amount financed is divided over the term of the plan selected and becomes your fixed minimum monthly payment.
  • Credit charges will not accrue on the purchase during the promotional period if the required minimum payment is made each billing cycle during the promotional period when due.
  • If the minimum payment is not paid when due or if a balance remains after the promotional period expires, credit charges will be assessed at the APR shown in the disclosure statement.

How does the Same as cash (with payments) financing plan work?
  • Credit charges will accrue on the purchase from the beginning of the promotional period, and minimum payments of 5% of the balance will be due each billing cycle.
  • If you make the required payments and pay the financed amount in full by the expiration date of the promotional period, all of the accrued credit charges will be waived and no credit charges will be assessed on the purchase.
  • If you do not pay the financed amount in full by the expiration date of the promotional period, all of the accrued credit charges will be assessed. Making only the minimum monthly payments on your account will not pay off the purchase in time to avoid Credit charges.

Pricing, financing and payment policy

Are the prices in my shopping cart guaranteed?

Tanguay does everything in it power to maintain the lowest price on the items we sell, but price changes happen sometimes overnight. Therefore, the prices of items placed in your shopping cart are subject to change until you have placed a final order.

Please note that we reserve the right to not accept your order in the event of pricing errors or technical difficulties. In the rare event that your order is not accepted, you will be notified immediately and no charge will be made to your card.

Please also note that Tanguay promotions end at midnight Eastern time on the date indicated on the product and shopping cart pages.

Can I get a catalog of your products?
No catalog is available. However, you can consult our periodic circulars.
Can I order by phone?

Yes, to reach our order center, call at 1 800 826-4829.

To order directly in store, contact the Tanguay store nearest you.

Where can I get gift cards?

Gift cards are available in all Tanguay stores and can be in the amount of your choice. You can also order them by phone at 1 800 826-4829. Finally, gift cards are also available online.

Where are the stores located and what are your opening hours?

We have 25 Tanguay stores across Quebec, including 5 Tanguay L'Entrepôt clearance stores.

Is there a decorating service in all stores?

No. Tanguay does not offer a decorating service.

 

Shopping cart and online ordering

How do I add items to my shopping cart?
To add an item to your shopping cart, click on the "Add to Cart" button located on the product details page.
How do I remove items from my shopping cart?

In order to remove an item from your shopping cart, click on "My Cart" located at the very top of your screen, then click on the "Delete" button associated with the item.

This item will be removed from your shopping cart and your subtotal will be updated.

How do I change the quantity of an item in my shopping cart?To change the quantity of a particular i

To change the quantity of an item in your shopping cart, click on "My Cart" located at the very top of your screen, and enter the desired quantity in the "quantity" column.

Finally, click on "Update Quantity". The number of items ordered and your subtotal amount will be updated.

I have questions about my order or want to make changes. Who do I contact?

To make changes to your online purchases or get answers to questions about them, contact our online or customer service department at 1-800-826-4829.

Can I create a profile without purchasing?

Yes, if you are a new user, you can register by clicking on the "Create My Profile" button, which you will find in the "Customer Profile" section at the very top of your screen.

Note: Registration takes only a few minutes and will save you a lot of time on future visits since you won't have to write down any of your personal information.

If you are a registered user, you will need to enter your email address and password in the "Hello Register" section.

Is it safe to shop online?

Yes, we are working hard to develop an increasingly efficient online ordering system that allows you to store without hassle and ensures that the integrity and confidentiality of your personal information is maintained.

Order security: What is "encryption"?

Our website uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. When you click on payment, you will be connected to our secure server. SSL will translate all of the information you send us into an extremely difficult to crack code that will protect its integrity and confidentiality.

Important note: Email is not secure because it is not encrypted. We strongly encourage you to secure your orders when shopping.

Return of merchandise

Defective merchandise? Problem with your order? Return of merchandise?

All sales are final.  However, if there is a problem with the purchased item at the time of delivery or if the item does not conform to the description given on the Site, the Purchaser may, as soon as possible after receipt, return the item in its original condition and packaging to the following address: 7200 Armand Viau, Quebec City, Quebec, G2C 2A7, along with a copy of the invoice showing the purchase.

If the circumstances justify it, Tanguay will apply its refund or exchange policy. In the case of a refund, the amount charged to the Buyer's credit card by Tanguay for the purchase of the returned goods will be credited as soon as possible.  In the event of an exchange, Tanguay will offer the Purchaser a similar product at the same or higher cost.

Shipping and delivery

Can I take the merchandise I have purchased with me immediately?

Some merchandise can be picked up directly from the distribution center or store where it was purchased. Click on Find a Store to get the phone number and address of the distribution center or store nearest you.

Is delivery service free and available everywhere?

We offer delivery service throughout the province of Quebec* and in some cities in New Brunswick. For deliveries outside the province of Quebec, fees may apply. Visit the delivery section for more details.

How do you set the delivery dates?

As soon as your merchandise is available at the distribution center, our staff will contact you to choose a delivery date. It should be noted that no precise time of delivery can be indicated, due to unforeseen circumstances that may arise.

Will the delivery people unpack my merchandise?

All merchandise delivered is unpacked and assembled by the delivery personnel who must return the packaging. The only exception to this rule is merchandise identified as "assembly required" which will not be unpacked or assembled.

In addition to assembling your merchandise, our delivery personnel can pick up your old appliances, provided that you have made a request in store when you purchased your new appliances. Your obsolete appliances must be unplugged and removed from their location before the delivery personnel arrive. However, Tanguay Furniture cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by the removal of these old appliances. Read our delivery policy for more information.

Can I pay the balance of my invoice at the time of delivery?

No. When purchasing online, the amount must be paid in full.

Can I have merchandise delivered abroad?

No. Our delivery service covers all of Quebec and New Brunswick. All online orders must be delivered to an address located within these limits.

 

Can I go to a store to pick up my online order?

Yes, it is possible to go to a store to pick up an order placed online.

Can I choose the delivery date for my online order?

Yes, currently, Tanguay.ca offers the possibility to choose the delivery date for orders placed online. However, depending on your delivery zone, a calendar is available and you can select a date with a yellow dot.

However, if the merchandise is not available, but on order, you will receive an email or/and a phone call as soon as the merchandise has arrived. Afterwards, please contact our delivery service at 1 800 826-4829 (toll free) to set a date.

Who do I contact if my product needs service?

Visit «Contact Us» page to get the customer service phone number. You can also log in to your profile and make an ONLINE SERVICE REQUEST. A customer service representative will contact you within 1-2 business days.
