Exclusive Reclining Mechanism
Unique to Elran, the gravity-powered reclining mechanism was developed by Leggett & Platt, a leader in mechanism design. This exclusive system uses premium-grade spruce plywood that won’t warp or crack, along with high-density, pre-shredded foam for superior consistency, durability, and comfort.
Premium Upholstery Fill
- Made entirely from new, high-quality Dacron (polyester) fiber
- Crimped fiber (6 crimps per inch) for enhanced resilience and shape retention
- Silicone-treated for anti-compaction
- Hollow-core fibers (like straws) allow air flow, increasing softness and flexibility
- No use of recycled fiber with limited resilience
Unmatched Seat Foam Comfort
- Premium foam with a density of 2.05 lb/ft³, compared to competitors’ 1.5–1.9 lb/ft³
- Compression rating of 33–38 lb/in², average 36 lb/in², for balanced softness
- Pre-compressed foam for immediate comfort
- High-quality NO-SAG springs with stabilizing rods ensure better weight distribution
- Felt placed over the springs protects the foam and extends its lifespan
Durable Frame Construction
- Superior-grade spruce plywood, kiln-dried to prevent splitting or warping
- Materials are selected and combined based on function for enhanced strength and durability
- Wood pieces are interlocked during assembly for a strong, reinforced structure
- High-stress areas feature TimberStrand® laminated engineered wood beams, resistant to temperature and humidity changes
- L-shaped rear frame brace secures the joint between the arm and seat, reinforcing the pivot point for long-lasting stability
