Exclusive Reclining Mechanism
Exclusive to Elran, the gravity-powered reclining mechanism was developed by Leggett & Platt, a leader in mechanism design. This innovative reclining system incorporates premium spruce plywood that resists warping and cracking, along with high-density pre-crushed foam for enhanced consistency, durability and comfort.
Premium Cushioning
- Made entirely from new, premium-quality Dacron (polyester) fibre.
- Crimped fibre (6 crimps per inch) provides enhanced resilience and shape retention.
- Silicone treatment helps prevent compression and matting.
- Hollow-core fibre (similar to a straw) allows air to circulate, providing greater softness and flexibility.
- No recycled fibres with limited resilience are used.
Superior Seat Foam Comfort
- Premium-quality foam with a density of 2.05 lb/cu. ft., compared to the typical competitor range of 1.5 to 1.9 lb/cu. ft.
- Foam compression provides medium firmness, ranging from 33 to 38 psi, with an average of 36 psi.
- Pre-compressed foam delivers enhanced comfort from the moment your furniture arrives.
- High-quality NO-SAG springs, reinforced with a support rod, ensure better weight distribution.
- A protective felt layer over the springs helps protect the foam and extend its lifespan.
Sturdy Frame Construction

- Materials are carefully selected and combined according to their intended use, providing greater strength and durability. Wood components are systematically interlocked during assembly to create a strong, reinforced frame.
- TimberStrand® engineered laminated wood is used for H-beams in areas of the furniture exposed to greater stress. This material maintains its structural properties despite changes in temperature and humidity.
