Exclusive Reclining Mechanism

Unique to Elran, the gravity-powered reclining mechanism was developed by Leggett & Platt, a leader in mechanism design. This exclusive reclining mechanism uses premium-grade spruce plywood, which resists warping and cracking, and high-density pre-crushed foam for greater consistency, durability, and comfort.

Premium-Quality Cushioning

• 100% virgin premium-grade Dacron (polyester) fibre.
• Crimped fibre (6 crimps per inch) provides greater resilience and helps maintain its shape.
• Anti-compaction silicone treatment.
• Hollow-core fibre (similar to a straw) allows air to circulate, providing greater softness and flexibility.
• No recycled fibre with limited resilience is used.

Seat Foam for Unmatched Comfort

• Premium-quality foam with a density of 2.05 lb/f3 compared with competitors' foam densities of 1.5 to 1.9 lb/ft3.
• Foam compression determines its softness (33–38 lb/in2), with an average of 36 lb/in2
• Pre-compressed foam provides greater comfort as soon as the furniture is received.
• The use of high-quality NO-SAG springs and a support rod attached to the springs ensures better weight distribution.
• Felt applied over the springs protects the foam and helps extend its lifespan.

Sturdy Frame

Superior construction-grade spruce plywood. High-quality kiln drying helps protect against splitting and warping.

Materials are carefully selected and combined according to their intended use, providing greater strength and durability. Wood components are systematically interlocked during assembly to create a strong, reinforced structure.

In certain areas of the furniture exposed to greater pressure, TimberStrand®, a scientifically engineered laminated wood, is used to create H-beams. Its properties remain unaffected by changes in temperature or humidity.

An L-shaped rear frame brace connects the arm joint to the seat, providing strong reinforcement at the pivot point between the arm and seat.
