Exclusive reclining mechanism
Unique to Elran, the gravity-fed reclining mechanism was developed by Legget and Platt, a leader in mechanism design. This exclusive reclining mechanism uses premium spruce plywood, which won't warp or crack, and high-density pre-ground foam for consistency, endurance and comfort.
High-quality upholstery
- Brand-new fiber made entirely from premium-quality dacron (polyester).
- Corrugated fiber (6 corrugations per inch) for added resilience and shape retention.
- Anti-compaction silicone treatment.
- Empty-center fiber (like a straw) allows air to pass through, providing extra flexibility.
- No use of recycled fiber with restricted resilience.
Seat foam for unrivalled comfort
- Higher-quality foam (density = 2.05 lb/ft3) than the competition (between 1.5 and 1.9 lb/ft3).
- Foam compression gives it flexibility (33-38 psi) averaging 36 psi.
- Pre-compressed foam provides greater comfort from the moment you receive your furniture.
- The use of high-quality NO-SAG springs and the presence of the rod affixed to the springs ensure better weight distribution.
- The use of felt on the springs protects the foam and extends its life.
Sturdy frame
- Superior construction grade spruce plywood. High-quality drying protects against splitting and warping.
- Combination and choice of materials according to use, resulting in greater strength and durability. Pieces of wood are systematically interlocked during assembly to create a strong, reinforced structure.
- In parts of the furniture exposed to increased pressure, we use TimberStrand®, a scientifically laminated wood, to make the H-beams. No change in properties due to temperature or humidity.
- L-shaped rear frame spacer joins the arm joint to the seat, ensuring a secure pivot point between arm and seat.
