The Porter & Charles FIR76B4 freestanding range combines the speed and precision of induction cooking with a versatile 3.7 cu. ft. convection oven. Its ceramic glass cooktop features four induction zones delivering up to 3,700 W of power with Boost, while the oven offers conventional baking, convection, broiling, Keep Warm and Air Fry functions.
The Steam Clean function makes it easier to maintain the oven cavity, while the triple-glazed door and cooling fan help keep the exterior of the appliance cooler. A lower storage drawer, two oven racks and an Air Fry tray complete a range designed to offer plenty of versatility in a standard 30-inch format.
The ceramic glass cooktop features four induction zones that heat compatible cookware directly rather than heating the cooking surface first. This technology provides rapid heating, precise adjustments and greater responsiveness when switching from high-heat cooking to a gentle simmer.
The system automatically detects compatible cookware on each zone. When cookware is removed from an active zone, the zone automatically switches off after approximately 30 seconds if no cookware is detected.
The smooth cooktop makes cleanup easier, with no raised burners or grates to remove. Knob controls provide direct adjustment of each cooking zone, while the smooth surface creates a clean, contemporary appearance.
As with any induction cooktop, cookware with a compatible magnetic base is required. Cast iron cookware and many stainless steel models are suitable, while a simple magnet test can quickly determine whether cookware is compatible.
The oven offers a 3.7 cu. ft. (105 L) capacity and uses a convection fan to circulate hot air around food. This circulation helps provide more even temperatures and is particularly well suited to baking, roasting and cooking multiple dishes at once.
Six rack positions make it easy to adjust the interior configuration for different types of cooking.
The Air Fry function uses rapidly circulating hot air to produce crispy foods with less oil than traditional frying. The mode has its own setting on the control panel and can be adjusted according to the desired temperature and cooking time.
A crisper-style tray is included to promote airflow around food during air frying.
Bake mode uses the 3,000 W lower element for conventional baking. The fan can also be activated for convection cooking when more even heat circulation is desired.
The 2,800 W upper element allows you to broil, brown and finish foods. High and Low broil settings make it easy to adjust the intensity according to the desired results.
The Keep Warm function maintains prepared dishes at approximately 175°F (79°C) for up to three hours. It is convenient when several dishes need to be served at the same time or when a meal needs to be kept warm before serving.
The Steam Clean function uses a small amount of water heated inside the oven to produce steam and loosen residue. The cycle lasts approximately 20 minutes. Once the cycle is complete and the oven has cooled sufficiently, remaining water and residue can be wiped away.
This method makes routine cleaning easier without requiring a high-temperature cleaning cycle.
The triple-glazed oven door works with an internal ventilation system to help maintain a lower exterior temperature during cooking. This design also improves the thermal insulation of the oven cavity.
The control panel provides access to the oven’s main functions, timer and cooking programs. A control lock function can also disable the touch controls to help prevent accidental activation.
A storage drawer beneath the oven provides convenient space for storing select baking sheets, racks and cooking accessories when not in use.
