This machine is the first and currently the only espresso grinder to offer grind-by-weight functionality directly in a filter holder. Precise, accurate dosing to a few grams (2 to 3 beans!) directly into your filter holder means consistent, quality espresso in the blink of an eye.

The machine is equipped with a digital scale using Acaia technology that contains three precise, adjustable presets. This allows you to save three different shot weights for a variety of uses. The convertible device holder is capable of attaching a wide variety of filter holders and brewing devices (as well as the included grounds container) directly under the tiller for quick and easy coffee transfer.

Grinding mechanism:

At its core, the Sette series features a revolutionary grinding mechanism that produces revolutionary performance. The main aspects of this innovative mechanism are as follows:

• A straight-through grinding chamber ensures highly efficient grinding and minimal residual coffee in the system.
• The rotation of the outer ring cutter (with twice the surface area of the conical cutter), together with the exclusive tooth geometry, produces a grinding output two to three times greater than others in its class.
• Proprietary gearbox (planetary + ring gear) maximizes torque transfer efficiency, resulting in lower energy consumption and much less heat generation.
• Powerful DC motor for maximum starting torque and efficiency, enabling cooler operation.

Burrs and brewing methods:

Manufactured by Etzinger in Liechtenstein, the Sette 270Wi is built with 40 mm conical grindstones, well suited to espresso and manual brewing requiring a finer grinding range (e.g. AeroPress or V60).

Dosing based on Acaia weight:  

This grinder has been designed with an integrated scale using Acaia's weighing technology for extremely precise dosing, down to a tenth of a gram. The 270Wi has the revolutionary ability to grind by weight directly into a filter holder - a breakthrough in grinding technology - or into the grounds bin thanks to convertible arms.

Digital control panel:

A user-friendly front-mounted control panel features an easy-to-read backlit LED display. Three programmable buttons let you set the preset grind time in 0.1 seconds. Simply press the start button and the Sette automatically performs precise dosing.

Grind setting:

The Sette features a 31-step grinding range, from espresso to manual infusion. The adjustment mechanism is directly connected to the conical burr, enabling immediate and precise adjustment of the grind.

Minimal retention:

To maximize freshness, the Sette minimizes ground coffee left in the grinder thanks to its innovative straight grinding chamber.

Accessories Included:

• Hopper extension: An extension that adds 250 g of capacity to the existing 225 g bean hopper.
• S2 burr: The S2 burr is an alternative cone filter holder that improves the grinding profile for brewing methods requiring a medium-coarse grind.
