Designed to optimize workflows, the CR-L1 Check Transport meets the needs of batch Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) and remote check processing as part of an electronic deposit management solution. Small and medium-sized businesses, remote offices, merchants, and other remote users can use the CR-L1 to scan checks, money orders, and related payment documents, helping reduce processing times and courier costs.
With its compact design, the CR-L1 Check Transport is designed to fit into limited workspaces. Its advanced paper-handling mechanism also helps ensure smooth, jam-free feeding. In the event of a feeding issue, high-precision infrared sensors help detect double feeds. In addition, its simple design allows the check scanner to be easily opened for routine cleaning and maintenance of the glass and rollers, as well as for clearing paper jams.
With scanning speeds of up to 45 checks per minute (CPM)*, the CR-L1 Check Transport simultaneously captures the front and back of documents in colour, black and white, or grayscale. The 50-document automatic feeder and output pocket enable convenient batch scanning.
Built-in electronic sensors detect feeding errors. The CR-L1 is also flexible enough to reliably handle many types of documents, including paper checks, money orders, coupons, payment vouchers, pay slips, and more. An integrated single-line imprinter allows physical endorsements to be added to the back of documents, while virtual endorsements are available for both front and back document images.
Difficult-to-scan items, such as checks with busy graphic backgrounds or low-contrast text, are captured by the CR-L1 Check Transport as high-quality images thanks to Canon's advanced binarization technology, included as standard on the CR-L1 and throughout the Canon check scanner lineup.
